The Change That Had Nothing to Do With Grades

Mathnasium has given an incredible boost to our child’s confidence. Instead of walking away frustrated, he enjoys math now. It’s because of the help and encouragement from Mathnasium. Our son is always excited to go and be around the instructors and other students; it’s such a great environment. Thank you Mathnasium and thank you Ash! We appreciate everything your team has done for our son and others as well.

Why Summer Is the Most Important Time For Math

During summer break, students can lose 20–30% of their school-year gains from the previous year.

When September arrives, many students spend the first part of the school year relearning skills they already knew.

If your child has shown signs of struggle, Mathnasium helps students:

  • āœ“Maintain skills
  • āœ“Fill learning gaps
  • āœ“Build confidence
  • āœ“Get ahead for next year

The ā€œsummer slideā€: skills built all year can quietly slip away over the break.

Mathnasium Regina Franchise Owner

If you called Mathnasium on Rochdale, you've likely already spoken directly with Ash.

He's not a figurehead owner. He's the person conducting assessments, reviewing progress, answering parent questions, and helping students every step of the way.

Ash comes from a family rooted in education. His father, the late Dr. Nazih Noureldin, was a respected Chemistry and Biochemistry professor at internationally recognized universities, including the University of Regina, and served as a mentor to countless students throughout his career.

Before purchasing Mathnasium in 2019, Ash also served as Executive Director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Regina, where he saw firsthand how the right support can change a child's future.

When he discovered Mathnasium, he saw an opportunity to help children overcome the same frustrations and self-doubt he experienced with math growing up, while combining his lifelong passion for helping young people succeed.

Too many kids struggle with math because they've lost confidence or missed key foundational concepts along the way. Ash saw an opportunity to help students build both their skills and their self-belief.

As a father himself, Ash understands these challenges from both sides of the table.

He knows what it's like to worry about your child's confidence, school performance, and future opportunities. That's why every family who walks through the doors at Mathnasium on Rochdale receives the same level of care and attention he would want for his own daughter, Farah.

Because while better math skills matter, helping children believe in themselves matters even more.

Our Top 5 Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Mathnasium cost?

Mathnasium on Rochdale provides premium value through a flat monthly membership and a one-time enrolment fee. Most students attend two to three times per week.

To get exact pricing, contact Ash at (306) 527-1386.

How do you teach the math? What curriculum do you use?

At Mathnasium on Rochdale, we do not follow a traditional curriculum. We use our proprietary approach called the Mathnasium Methodā„¢, which combines personalized learning plans with proven teaching techniques to develop solid foundations for math mastery.

How long does it take to see results?

Every child learns at their own pace, so results can vary.

Unlike a traditional classroom, Mathnasium provides personalized, one-on-one instruction tailored to your child's unique learning needs. Progress depends on several factors, including attendance, learning gaps, and how quickly a student absorbs and applies new concepts.

Because families schedule their own sessions, consistency also plays an important role in how quickly results are achieved.

On average, students can gain approximately one grade level in math every 3–4 months, but some progress faster while others may require additional time. Our focus is not just on improving grades, but on building a strong foundation and lasting confidence in math.

Do you assign homework?

No, and that's by design.

At Mathnasium, some of the most valuable learning happens when a student is working through a problem in front of their instructor. We don't just look at whether an answer is right or wrong, we pay close attention to how a student arrives at that answer.

Are they counting on their fingers? Memorizing steps without understanding them? Using a strategy that will limit them later? These are the insights that help us identify learning gaps and build stronger math foundations.

If work is completed at home, we lose that visibility. We don't know what strategies were used, how much help was provided, or where a student may have struggled along the way.

That's why we focus on making every Mathnasium session as productive as possible. Parents can take a hands-off approach and enjoy peace of mind knowing their child is receiving personalized instruction from specially trained math instructors, without adding extra homework to their evenings.

Where are you located?

Mathnasium is trusted by families at more than 100 locations across Canada and over 1,000 learning centres throughout North America. Our location is at 4127 Rochdale Boulevard, Regina’s north-end, next to Walmart and the Capital Auto Mall.
